Booking Appointments

Inner Depth Therapy uses Calendly for online appointment scheduling. When you schedule an appointment through Calendly, information necessary to arrange your appointment, such as your name, email address, and scheduling information, may be processed by Calendly.

Please avoid entering sensitive or detailed personal health information into online scheduling forms.

Calendly processes customer scheduling data on behalf of its customers and maintains its own privacy and security practices.

Psychotherapy Records
If you receive psychotherapy services, appropriate clinical records are maintained in accordance with the standards of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and applicable Ontario privacy legislation.

Reasonable safeguards are used to protect records against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, or theft. CRPO standards require registrants to protect client records during storage, transmission, disclosure and eventual disposal. 

Virtual Psychotherapy
Virtual psychotherapy sessions may be provided through Zoom. Reasonable privacy and security measures are used when providing electronic psychotherapy services, and clients are encouraged to participate from a private location whenever possible.

Zoom provides security and privacy controls and documentation addressing Canadian PIPEDA and Ontario PHIPA obligations.

Payments
Payment may be accepted by credit card, e-transfer, or cash.

Information reasonably necessary to process or document payment may be collected and retained for administrative, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Where a third-party payment processor is used for credit-card transactions (PayPal), payment information may also be processed according to that provider’s privacy and security practices.

How Your Information Is Used
Personal information and personal health information may be used to provide psychotherapy services, respond to inquiries, arrange appointments, communicate with clients, process and document payments, maintain clinical and administrative records, and meet professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal obligations.

Information is collected, used, and disclosed only as permitted or required under applicable law.

Information Collected

When you contact Inner Depth Therapy, schedule a consultation, or receive psychotherapy services, information collected may include your name, contact information, appointment information, billing and payment information, communications with the practice, and information reasonably necessary to provide psychotherapy services.

If you become a client, a clinical record is maintained in accordance with applicable professional and legal requirements.

Confidentiality
Information shared in psychotherapy is confidential, subject to applicable legal and professional limits. These limits are discussed as part of the informed-consent process.

Personal health information is not sold or rented. Information is disclosed with consent or where disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.

Ontario’s PHIPA requires health-information custodians to establish compliant information practices and safeguards and generally requires consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal health information, subject to statutory exceptions. 

Website Analytics
This website is created and hosted using Swipe Pages. Swipe Pages may collect technical and usage information associated with visits to the website for purposes such as operating the website and providing website analytics.

This may include information such as device or browser information, pages visited, traffic sources, and other website usage data.

Inner Depth Therapy does not currently use advertising pixels or advertising-based visitor tracking on this website.

Email and Electronic Communication
Email and other electronic communication may involve privacy risks. Clients and prospective clients are encouraged not to include unnecessary sensitive personal health information in ordinary email messages.

Reasonable safeguards are used when communicating and transmitting information electronically. CRPO recommends limiting unnecessary information in electronic communications and using appropriate safeguards for transmitting personal health information. 

Accessing or Correcting Your Information
You may request access to personal health information held about you or request correction of information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete, subject to limitations under applicable law.

PHIPA provides individuals with access and correction rights, subject to specified exceptions, and establishes procedures and response periods for these requests.
